Just thought I'd share our newest joy with you...we have a baby on the way, and we couldn't be more thrilled! We're overwhelmed by the goodness of God and His perfect timing. Our little one is due to arrive around the 8th of May, and we can't wait to meet him or her!
It's been a challenging few weeks for us as pregnancy has brought with it severe all-day nausea & vomiting for me. Nathan's been putting in 13 hour days on base lately, which leaves me home alone without much sympathy every time I run to the bathroom in tears. He is such a wonderful servant to me in the evenings, though, and we're reminding ourselves that it will all be so worth it! I praise God every day for the gift of a truly amazing husband. This sweet baby has no idea yet what an incredible Daddy it's going to have!
Funny pregnancy experiences so far:
- The other night I was eating dinner thinking, "Mmm...this tastes really good!" The next second I was thinking, "This is the most disgusting thing in the world." And the next second it was in the toilet. How does that happen? I'm so confused!
- For the first time in my life, I have no desire to eat chocolate. This scares me.
"Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven."
Matthew 19:14
Congratulations!! :D We are so, so happy for you! I'll be praying for you during these days - I definitely remember being home alone and super sick on those long 13 hour days. :( Not fun at all. Thankfully (like you said) the baby is worth it all when they come!
ReplyDeleteHope you start feeling better soon!
